
Ingredients
- 1 cup white rice
- 1/2 white onion, chopped
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can stewed tomatoes
- 1 can black beans
- 1 can pinto beans
- 2 cans chicken broth
- 2 caps full of chili powder
- salt to taste
Procedure
- Prepare white rice per package instructions. Set aside.
- In a large pot, over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until beef is cooked.
- Drain the excess fat and bring pot back to heat.
- Add all remaining ingredients: stewed tomatoes, pinto beans, black beans, chicken broth, chili powder, and salt.
- Stir thoroughly, bring to boil, cover, then reduce heat to simmer for 25 minutes.
- Serve in a bowl with rice and chili with desired soup.
