Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white rice
  • 1/2 white onion, chopped
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 can black beans
  • 1 can pinto beans
  • 2 cans chicken broth
  • 2 caps full of chili powder
  • salt to taste

Procedure

  1. Prepare white rice per package instructions. Set aside.
  2. In a large pot, over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until beef is cooked.
  3. Drain the excess fat and bring pot back to heat.
  4. Add all remaining ingredients: stewed tomatoes, pinto beans, black beans, chicken broth, chili powder, and salt.
  5. Stir thoroughly, bring to boil, cover, then reduce heat to simmer for 25 minutes.
  6. Serve in a bowl with rice and chili with desired soup.
