Diane’s Banana Nut Bread

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter softened at room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2-3 mashed ripened bananas
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 and 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped into medium pieces

Procedure

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Sift flour baking powder baking soda and salt.
  3. Spray Pam, thoroughly coating, to a loaf pan or a Bundt pan.
  4. Cream butter and sugar together.
  5. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
  6. Add banana and sour cream, mix thoroughly.
  7. Sift remaining dry ingredients adding into wet mixture.
  8. Bake for 50 minutes at 350° F.
  9. Insert toothpick to check for doneness, will come out clean.
  10. Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
  11. Then release from pan and cool on cooling rack.
