Diane’s Waffles

Ingredients

  • 1 (1/4 oz) envelope active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda

Procedure

  1. Combine yeast and water in a glass measuring cup; let mixture stand for 5 minutes.
  2. Combine yeast mixture, milk, butter, sugar, salt in a large mixture bowl.
  3. Add flour, eggs, baking soda stirring until smooth.
  4. Cover and chill for 8 hours.
  5. Spray waffle iron. Iron should be set to 4.5.
